Overview

Laserprobe 4500 3D laser scanner system for almost all materials

This system is suitable for stationary operation and automated scanning of objects with the CNC milling machine.

Our “LaserProbe 4500” 3D laser scanner system is designed for non-contact 3D laser scanning of objects with a laser to create three-dimensional computer models and to create model files that are subsequently are suitable to be used or processed in a CNC milling machine system.

The 3D laser scanner system is designed so that it can be networked with any CNC machine, including servo machines, regardless of the type of control.

Of course, the basic configuration including the complete wiring can be used on all CNC machines from CNC-STEP.

The supplied scan software for the evaluation and filtering of the scan results, “Dorgonia”, is available in German and English, as well as the complete manual.

Working principle of the laser scanner:

The laser sensor of the laser scanning system is mounted on the motion system of the machine and attached. During the scanning process, the CNC system of the machine moves the laser sensor line by line in a distance defined by the customer in the software (from 0.01 mm) over the prototype of the object.

The laser sensor of the laser scanner measures the distance (Z-coordinate) to the object surface.

Data acquisition of the laser sensor and sensor movement are synchronized (XY coordinates), the result is sent to the PC via USB port.

Thus, the XYZ coordinates determine the layout for the laser scanned surface.

A digital prototype is created and saved as a point file, as well as a conventional STL format that can be used for further processing with CNC.

Filter:

There are various noise and smoothing filters for different materials available to positively influence the scan result.
