2D Processing on acrylic glass
This page tells you everything about Mr. Becker’s CNS milling machine S1000!
Mr. S.B. processes almost exclusively Plexiglas and produces bulk productions of professional in-store displays equipped with LED lights.
Milling on acrylic glass
These pictures are of scarcity value, because they show the tools of our first customer! In February 2005 Mr. B. purchased the very first High-Z CNC machine.
Mr. B., who is based in the Cologne area, produces anything with his High-Z S-1000 which is made of wood or Plexiglas – for his own and his customers’ purposes.
From drawer organizers, via cupboards to exhaust systems for the High-Z with integrated LED lights, he produces everything.
The shown end product is made of 1-cm-strong Plexiglas. For this purpose he modified the machine (S1000) as following:
1. Exhaust System: Mr. Becker developed this extraordinary exhaust system, which is continuously variable and self-locking by means of a rack-and-pinion drive with hand wheel and LED lights.
The clou is: You can easily pull off the actual head of the exhaust system. This spares you from altering the machine every time you do not need the exhaust system.
Due to the air-current cooling is generated, thus no additional cooling system is needed when milling on Plexiglas.
2. Reference run control system incl. LED display and emergency stop.
3. Exhaust system incl. bridge holder.
